Narin

Story

Narin was not born in Banghwa Sect, but it is the only home she remembers. Orphaned before she could walk, she was raised alongside Seori by the family that took her in, and grew into the sect's most gifted young healer — the one who hums while she works, whose patients recover faster than the elders can explain.

At sixteen, during a night training exercise, she was separated from the other disciples. She was found unconscious at dawn. She has never fully told anyone what happened in the forest that night — but from that morning on, her right eye has been gold.

Seven years later, the eye has never faded. The sect whispers about it. A few of the elders know more than they say. And Narin has begun to notice that some of her dreams do not feel like dreams at all.
