Huimang Sect

희망 · “Hope

Clifftop compound over the southeastern sea, south of Haeju — Dongha Province

Huimang's craft is purification — the realm's answer to spiritual corruption. Its cultivators are exorcists, wardens, and keepers of the rites that hold the dark where it belongs. When something is wrong in a way no healer or magistrate can name, it is Huimang that gets the letter.

Their combat philosophy is a vigil, not a hunt. Huimang teaches that corruption is patient, and so its cultivators are more patient still: seals before swords, containment before destruction, and no door opened that cannot be closed again.

The compound stands on the cliffs above the southeastern sea, built around its purification pools and the great beacon tower whose light ships use and whose true purpose the sect does not discuss. Sea wind, salt, and lamplight — disciples say you can hear the dark from the walls, if you listen wrong.

The other pillars treat Huimang with the particular courtesy owed to people who handle what no one else will touch. It asks for little, appears where it is needed, and stands at the edge of the dark, holding the light steady.
